After school in Melbourne JD moved to Sydney where he started a career in the film industry. Initially he began work in a film camera rental company servicing the equipment and sending it out on shoots. After a stint in Singapore with the same company he  returned and began freelance film crew work.

 
8 years as a freelance film technician on TV commercials and films.  He worked as an on set visual effects editor and video assist operator as well as a camera assistant.

 

He made the move into visual effects in the late 90's and worked at Animal Logic for 6 years before going freelance.  Covering  20 years in post production and visual effects he has worked across multiple feature films and TVC's.  

Currently working as a freelance 3D artist, Shoot Supervisor and Visual Effects Supervisor.
